Hi! I'm Lex.

My photography career started pretty unconventionally.

 

While in college, obtaining a degree in crime scene investigation (yes, CSI, like the show), I took a crime scene photography course where I learned how to use a camera both front and back. I quickly discovered my love for photography through this. 

​

 Even though I decided not to pursue a career in my field of study, I put my photography skills to use right away when I started my own music project, Lex Tobyn. I began doing self portrait shoots for my cover art and promo (see below). 

 

 Next thing I knew, I was helping friends and family with shoots, second shooting weddings, and doing concert photography. 

 

I'm a huge extrovert who loves people and quickly became enamored by capturing people in raw moments that make them feel beautiful.

 

To me, photography is more than just capturing a moment; it's making that moment timeless.
